Application for the Issuance of a Certificate

Supporting Documents

  1. A copy of the applicant’s identification certificate: It must be valid.
  2. If a representative files the application, the original power of attorney signed or sealed by the principal and a copy of the representative’s identification certificate should be submitted.
  3. If a deed of marriage, etc., are required as specific supporting documents, then copies of such documents must be submitted. In the case above, the relevant Korean diplomatic mission must verify and confirm the original documents, and copies of the verified documents shall be submitted.
  4. Certificates of citizenship, name changes, deeds of marriage, etc., do not require separate translations, but the public officials in charge of issuing certificates may require a translation for any document for which they deem to require a translation.
